Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope you’ve got costume parties and trick-or-treating, haunted houses and Halloween movie marathons planned for the next few days. I’m all about color-coordinating my home décor for the season or holiday. I already have my orange twinkle lights and pumpkins all around my home. I prefer cute Halloween décor that can double for fall decorations rather than spooky stuff. My plan for Halloween is to turn on The Addams Family (the 1991 version!), eat my favorite chili with orange bell peppers and pumpkin bread (because my color coordination extends to my food), and maybe even dress up my orange dog (she’s a Vizsla) in a pumpkin costume. Aromatherapy—the use of essential oils to promote health and wellness—can seem like a complicated subject. It evokes images of an herbal medicine guru waving bundles of plants around to ward off bad energy. When I first started using essential oils a few years ago, some of it seemed a little “woo-woo” to me.
