If you haven’t noticed, I’m in a “love songs” mood as I’m writing this series of blog posts for the Valentine’s Season. Today’s post is an ode to Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love.” Music is one of my favorite things, and as excited as I get for Christmas Music each year, I may get even more excited for love songs in February.

Nothing beats a good love song. I think almost every artist in nearly every genre has tried his or her hand at writing the quintessential love song. Whether it’s a ballad or an upbeat, hopeful ditty, or a dramatic confession of eternal devotion, love songs are about one thing: showering the subject of the musician’s devotion with attention and adoration.
